2024 was a fantastic year for us, filled with incredible custom jobs, exciting font releases, and the largest team we’ve enjoyed so far. None of this would have been possible without our partners and mates: We wish you all a winning hand and always an ace up your sleeve!
To celebrate, a typophil’s deck of cards! Beautifully crafted and designed by Kristina Hörbelt of TypeMates’ team. Printed on 310 g/m² cardboard at Satzdruck in Münsterland. With bold special colours Pantone 805 U neon orange and Pantone 072 U blue, fully covered with dispersion coating and refined with fine rounded edges.
What's special: Each card showcases a font from our collection with a unique twist—the blue cards, Clubs and Spades, feature sans-serif fonts, while the orange cards, Hearts and Diamonds, present serif fonts. This makes the game not only a visual delight but also an exciting challenge for typography enthusiasts: Which typeface is on which card?
The court cards—Jack, Queen, and King—stand out with their bold, full-surface colouring. Instead of traditional illustrations, the respective font takes up the space here in different weight gradations, creating a distinctive and dynamic design.
